Cinnamon Toast Crunch is simply the best cold cereal of all time.

Growing up I didn't have the opportunity to indulge in the sweet cereal goodness childhood had to offer. I didn't even indulge in the name brand non-sweet cereal goodness childhood had to offer. Unless you count Post Original Shredded Wheat Cereal (jumbo squares) or Malt-o-Meal Toasty O's.
Sure I knew the songs and jingles from all the cereal commercials, but I also knew I couldn't have the cereal so fun advertising never swayed my opinion.
When I had my first bowl of real Cheerios I thought I had eaten the BEST cereal ever. A couple times while on camping trips, I tried several other Kellogg's cereals…the ones available in the individual-sized combo pack. Corn Pops, Cocoa Krispies…what else, I can't remember but nothing that was like "YUM!"
Being conformed into a person who doesn't like sugary sweet things, I did not appreciate my first bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. It was…weird. I had another bowl years down the road and it was the best combination of smothered-in-milk, mellow yet flavorful, soggy, crunchy goodness I had ever tasted!
To all you kids who grew up lovin' Tony The Tiger and Dig 'Em…Don't even try to tell me that Apple Jacks is the best cold cereal. It's actually the first name brand cereal I've had that tastes like the cardboard box it comes in. But hey, if it was good when you were a kid, it's good now. (gag)
Having full control while in the cereal aisle at the store as an adult is great. So many options…
Knowing I like a cereal for a cereal. No reminiscing bull crap. Just taste buds baby!
